Packaging Technologies

Packaging Technologies is the new group name for three very familiar companies in the packaging industry: KartridgPak, KP Aerofill, and Holmatic. Formerly known as BWI Packaging Technologies, a division of BWI plc, the group was purchased in June of 1999 by German conglomerate IWKA. The significance of this change to its customers will be demonstrated in a greater understanding of a global marketplace, the implementation of advanced technologies developed by other IWKA divisions, and a ready access to capital to speed new product development. Coupling this with their on-going delivery of world-class service and technologically advanced packaging systems will allow them to deliver the best possible packaging equipment at the lowest possible cost.

KARTRIDGPAK

Over the years, innovations and reliability have become synonymous with the KartridgPak name. From their start in meat packaging in 1944, KartridgPak has developed machine lines capable of packaging a wide range of high viscosity food products.

Today, KartridgPak's expertise crosses several industries, including dairy, meat, explosives, caulks, and specialty adhesives. Their engineering and product application expertise has helped make KartridgPak the world leader in continuous motion chub packaging machinery, a process they pioneered, as well as fat analysis systems and smoke generators for processed meat and dairy products.

KP AEROFILL

KP Aerofill was formed by the fusion of KartridgPak, USA and Aerofill, UK in the late 1980s, bringing together two market leaders, each with over 40 years experience in the aerosol industry. KP Aerofill is recognized to be the leading equipment supplier to the aerosol industry worldwide. Supplying small- and large-scale aerosol producers on projects from start-up to 500 cans-per-minute filling lines, KP Aerofill has placed equipment with major companies in nearly every country of the world.

Today, KP Aerofill is a worldwide leader in the production of aerosol and rotary liquid fill systems, complete line integration, and rotary base aerosol crimpers, gassers/shakers and liquid fillers. Products and services are fully integrated between both manufacturing sites, and supported by their respective sales and service teams.

HOLMATIC

For nearly 30 years Holmatic has designed and built innovative filling, sealing, and lidding equipment to satisfy the packaging requirements of some of the most recognized names in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries.  Today, Holmatic is recognized as the standard in high performance packaging machinery. With installations in over 100 countries around the world and resources to deliver Total Systems Support time after time, Holmatic is the best choice for dependable packaging systems, including:
